Senior Logistics Operations Coordinator

Overview
This role is responsible for coordinating day-to-day logistics operations across Australia and New Zealand, including warehouse operations, transportation activities, inventory management, and logistics service provider management. The role works closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure operational performance, service delivery, compliance requirements, and customer expectations are achieved. The position supports issue resolution, operational reporting, continuous improvement initiatives, and logistics projects.

Key Responsibilities
Logistics Operations
Coordinate and monitor daily logistics activities to ensure smooth operational execution.
Work closely with Logistics Service Providers to support warehouse and transportation operations.
Monitor inbound, outbound, returns, and inventory activities.
Support the resolution of operational issues, escalations, and customer-related concerns.
Service Provider Management
Track Logistics Service Provider performance against agreed service levels.
Participate in operational review meetings with service providers.
Follow up on corrective actions and improvement initiatives.
Ensure operational issues are addressed in a timely manner.
Inventory and Warehouse Management
Support inventory management activities including reconciliation, aged inventory monitoring, stock adjustments, and rework coordination.
Work with warehouse providers to maintain inventory accuracy and operational efficiency.
Monitor warehouse performance and identify areas for improvement.
Transportation Operations
Coordinate transportation requirements and shipment execution.
Monitor shipment status and support issue resolution.
Work with transportation providers to improve delivery performance and customer satisfaction.
Continuous Improvement
Identify and recommend opportunities for process and system improvements.
Support implementation of operational improvement initiatives.
Assist with testing and deployment of new logistics processes and systems.
Support logistics projects by providing operational requirements, process knowledge, and business insights.
Stakeholder Management
Collaborate with Supply Chain, Order Management, Planning, Customer Operations, Finance, Procurement, and Logistics teams.
Provide timely updates on operational issues and performance.
Support business priorities through effective coordination and communication.
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field.
Typically 4–7 years of experience in logistics, transportation, warehouse operations, customs, or supply chain functions.
Experience working across multiple logistics or supply chain disciplines is preferred.
Knowledge of customs, trade compliance, or global trade processes is advantageous.
Knowledge and Skills
Good understanding of supply chain and logistics operations.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and operational reporting.
Good stakeholder management and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational environment.
Experience with logistics systems and supply chain tools.
Understanding of inventory control and warehouse operations.
Impact / Scope
Supports operational performance across Australia and New Zealand logistics activities.
Works with internal stakeholders and external logistics service providers to achieve service and operational objectives.
Contributes to process improvement initiatives and operational excellence programs.
Supports logistics projects and business change activities when required.
