Accountabilities:
- Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax documents, including tax returns, extensions, quarterly payments, and related schedules.
- Review, prepare, and consolidate tax provision schedules to support accurate financial reporting.
- Research federal, state, and local tax regulations and recommend appropriate tax strategies.
- Monitor legislative updates and help interpret and implement new or revised tax requirements.
- Ensure compliance by preparing and submitting required documentation to relevant authorities.
- Develop and improve procedures, worksheets, and processes related to tax calculations and reporting.
- Analyze tax information related to business decisions, including potential mergers and acquisitions, to identify opportunities for tax savings.
- Maintain professional knowledge through training, industry research, and continuous learning opportunities.
- Support additional accounting and tax-related projects as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field preferred.
- At least 1 year of experience in US accounting or US tax preparation is a plus.
