Job Description:

DXC Technology Italy is looking for a Senior Public Sector Business Analyst to join the DXC AdvisoryX Offering.

Responsibilities

  • Lead client interviews to identify business issues and define effective solutions.

  • Take end-to-end ownership of functional and process analysis within assigned Public Sector engagements, from requirements gathering to solution validation.

  • Document and design processes to increase efficiency (decrease lead time, increase throughput, reduce cost, etc.), analyzing and resolving complex process issues.

  • Drive impact within the client's organization by developing and transforming their business and IT strategies.

  • Design roadmaps describing as-is and to-be customer environments.

  • Contribute to proposals, bids, Statements of Work and other deliverables using a concise, professional writing style.

  • Shape, prepare and deliver client presentations, workshops and proposals.

  • Guide and mentor junior/mid-level colleagues on analysis and requirements-gathering activities.

  • Coach and support individual clients, focusing on their personal success.

  • Identify risks and assumptions, shaping program governance, and interface directly with stakeholders to monitor alignment with business needs.

  • Contribute to defining and optimizing processes and procedures within the Public Sector practice.

  • Take part in large Digital Transformation engagements with cross-functional teams.

  • Contribute to the hiring process through interviews assessing analytical and functional competencies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master degree in one of the following areas: Computer Science, Computer engineering, Management Engineering, Economics, Statistics and Mathematics.

  • Experience in Management Consulting domain (Public Sector)

  • Knowledge of EU Cohesion Policies and funding programs (e.g. ERDF/FESR, PNRR, ESF+/FSE+, JTF)

  • Familiarity with systems such as REGIS, OpenCoesione, FSC, SIL, and monitoring of strategic programs

  • Experience in Data Intelligence and/or AI-related projects

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Management Engineering, Statistics or Mathematics.

  • Proven experience in Management Consulting, ideally within the Public Sector domain.

  • Advanced expertise in business process analysis, functional requirements gathering and business solution design.

  • Hands-on experience with common Business Analysis and requirements management tools across waterfall and agile delivery models, such as Microsoft Visio and Enterprise Architect for process modelling and documentation, and Jira, Confluence or Azure DevOps for backlog management, user stories, acceptance criteria and requirements traceability.

  • Relevant Business Analysis certifications are considered a plus, particularly IIBA CBAP/CCBA or PMI Professional in Business Analysis (PMI-PBA), commonly requested or valued in Public Sector digital transformation and requirements-led consulting engagements.

  • Basic knowledge and practical use of AI and Generative AI tools to strengthen Business Analysis activities, including document and data analysis, stakeholder interview preparation, requirements elicitation and refinement, process study, gap analysis, synthesis of findings and preparation of executive-level deliverables, with appropriate human validation and critical review of AI-generated outputs.

  • Strong relational and analytical skills, with a constant focus on goals and results.

  • Team-working ability, including the capacity to guide and mentor junior/mid-level colleagues.

  • Effective problem-solving skills and operational autonomy in managing priori

  • ties across multiple engagements.

  • Effective communication with technical and business stakeholders at different levels, including clients.

  • Italian mother tongue and good command of English, both written and spoken.

The position offers a gross annual base salary starting from €36,000. Compensation is determined in line with the applicable collective labor agreement (CBA: Contratto Collettivo Nazionale di Lavoro per l’industria metalmeccanica e della installazione di impianti) and based on objective and gender-neutral criteria, including responsability, experience and skills.
