Accountabilities:

    The Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist will manage end-to-end recruitment activities while serving as a trusted advisor to hiring managers and internal teams. This role requires strong expertise in construction recruiting, candidate relationship management, and process optimization.

    • Own recruitment activities for assigned departments, markets, and construction-related roles, with a focus on experienced professionals in construction management and project support.
    • Partner with hiring managers to understand workforce needs, conduct intake meetings, and develop effective recruitment strategies.
    • Create, publish, and manage job advertisements across relevant channels to attract qualified candidates.
    • Source, screen, interview, and evaluate candidates through phone, video, and in-person interactions.
    • Coordinate interview processes, assessments, reference checks, employment verifications, and offer management.
    • Prepare and present offer letters while ensuring smooth communication throughout the hiring process.
    • Manage candidate workflows and maintain accurate records within applicant tracking and HR systems.
    • Support temporary staffing needs, including consultants and contract employees.
    • Manage relationships with external staffing partners and vendors when needed.
    • Oversee onboarding activities, including employment eligibility verification, required documentation, and new hire coordination.
    • Provide regular recruitment updates, reporting, and insights to leadership teams.
    • Support strategic talent acquisition initiatives focused on employee development, retention, and workforce growth.
    • Contribute to college recruiting initiatives, campus partnerships, and early-career talent programs when required.
    • Maintain confidentiality of employee information and handle sensitive personnel data with professionalism.
    • Travel periodically to company locations, project sites, and industry meetings across North America as needed.
    • Requirements:

      The ideal candidate brings strong construction recruiting expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. They should have experience building relationships with candidates and stakeholders while delivering successful hiring outcomes.

      • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Construction Management, or a related field, plus at least 5 years of construction recruiting experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
      • Strong understanding of construction-related roles, including project management, field operations, and project support functions.
      • Proven success recruiting experienced professionals, including candidates for travel-based and project-oriented positions.
      • Experience managing full-cycle recruitment processes from sourcing through onboarding.
      • Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS), HR information systems (HRIS), and recruitment reporting tools.
      • Strong interviewing, assessment, negotiation, and candidate relationship management skills.
      • Ability to collaborate effectively with hiring managers, executives, and cross-functional teams.
      • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple open positions and competing deadlines.
      • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a professional and consultative approach.
      • Advanced computer skills and confidence using recruitment technology platforms.
      • Ability to maintain discretion when handling confidential employee and candidate information.
      • Willingness to travel occasionally to support business needs.
