You will serve as a MUSEUM SPECIALIST (HISTORY) of NAVAL HISTORY AND HERITAGE COMMAND. You will apply established museum standards to catalog and process incoming artifact donations using DONHAMS. Performs technical cataloging, condition reporting, digital photography, and determines appropriate conservation-grade storage and housing You will act as the primary Point of Contact (POC) for WNY Collections Storage. Monitors environmental conditions, implements Integrated Pest Management (IPM) protocols, and reports facility issues to leadership. You will schedule, coordinate, and conduct regular physical inventories of the artifact collection across multiple locations, including WNY Collections Storage and outdoor displays. You will coordinate the physical preparation, documentation, and logistical transport of historical artifacts for internal movements, outgoing loans, and exhibitions. You will conduct research to support the Collections Committee with accessions/deaccessions. You will respond to public and command research inquiries and completes technical research taskers for leadership.
