Accountabilities:

    • Oversee and manage all HR operational processes, including onboarding, offboarding, employee changes, and personnel record management to ensure a seamless employee lifecycle experience.
    • Administer employee benefits programs, including health, welfare, retirement, and leave programs, while supporting open enrollment and employee communications.
    • Partner with brokers, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure effective benefits delivery, compliance, and cost optimization.
    • Collaborate with Payroll to ensure accurate employee data, timely payroll processing, and alignment across HR systems and records.
    • Lead HR systems administration, including configuration, workflows, reporting, security roles, and data integrity across HRIS platforms.
    • Develop, refine, and implement HR policies, procedures, and scalable operational processes aligned with business growth and compliance requirements.
    • Ensure compliance with US and Canadian employment laws, supporting audits, reporting, and regulatory requirements in partnership with Legal and Finance.
    • Build dashboards, reports, and data insights to support HR decision-making and workforce planning.
    • Lead HR operational projects from planning through execution, driving continuous improvement across systems and processes.
    • Requirements:

      • 5–8 years of progressive HR experience, including at least 3+ years in HR operations, benefits administration, and HR systems management.
      • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
      • Experience working in high-growth, startup, or fast-scaling environments; biotechnology or life sciences experience is a plus.
      • Strong knowledge of HR operations, employee lifecycle processes, and benefits administration.
      • Hands-on experience with HRIS platforms (e.g., Paylocity or similar systems), including configuration, reporting, and system optimization.
      • Strong understanding of US multi-state employment regulations; Canadian HR exposure is a plus.
      • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong focus on data accuracy and operational excellence.
      • Proven project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
      • Strong communication skills with the ability to partner across Finance, Payroll, IT, and leadership teams.
      • Detail-oriented, highly organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
      • Benefits:

        • Competitive annual salary range: $135,000 – $155,000 USD, depending on experience and qualifications
