Senior Procurement Buyer
As a Senior Procurement Buyer for Engineering/IRAD here at Honeywell Aerospace, you will be responsible for managing procurement activities related to Internal Research and Development (IRAD) projects within the engineering domain. You will play a critical role in ensuring timely acquisition of materials and services that support innovative engineering initiatives, contributing to the advancement of Honeywell’s technology and product development efforts. You will report directly to our Senior Procurement Buying Manager, and you’ll work on-site at our Lansdale, PA location.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Utilize procurement processes to specifically adapt and support engineering IRAD projects, ensuring alignment with project timelines and technical requirements.
- Identify and evaluate suppliers, negotiate long term strategic agreements, and secure materials and services that meet quality and cost objectives while integrating into the IRAD IPT to ensure compliance with program and department compliance.
- Collaborate closely with engineering teams to understand project needs and provide procurement solutions that support innovation and technical excellence.

YOU MUST HAVE
- Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement or purchasing, preferably supporting engineering or R&D projects
- Strong knowledge of procurement strategies, supplier evaluation, and contract negotiation within a technical environment
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools, with the ability to leverage technology to optimize purchasing processes
- Experience working with engineering teams and understanding technical specifications to ensure procurement aligns with project requirements
- Ability to read and understand electrical and mechanical drawings
WE VALUE
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; engineering, mathematics, or supply chain preferred
- Advanced degree in Engineering is not required but helpful
- Experience in managing procurement for IRAD or R&D projects
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams
- Attention to detail and strong organizational capabilities
