Senior Business Solutions Analyst - CLO
Duties & Responsibilities
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Business Solutions Analyst to join our dynamic CLO Business Solutions team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in planning, business analytics, workflow design, system integrations, and documentation, with proven experience in financial systems and the loan markets. This role will be instrumental in bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions, ensuring the delivery of a high-quality client experience. As a senior member of the team, the successful candidate will bring 8–10 years of loan market experience, independently architect and drive large, complex projects with minimal oversight, serve as a subject-matter expert and mentor to other analysts, and represent UMB in client-facing and industry settings.
Design and implement highly efficient and customized workflows for new clients and product offerings, as well as internal partners
- Gather internal team and external client requirements, document, and plan implementations
- Work directly with our internal project managers and technology partners to implement large-scale technical solutions
- Build line-of-business managed technical solutions using line-of-business tools
- Partner with Operations, Relationship Management, and Analytics teams to enhance client solutions
- Mitigate risks in operational workflows by redesigning or automating steps as necessary
- Build data reconciliation models and data flows using available line-of-business tools
- Work with clients and vendors to setup sFTP, ShareFile, automated data feeds, etc.
- Manage all projects and deliverables in SharePoint, JIRA, OneNote, etc.
- Build PowerBI reports for both external clients and internal teams
- Build tools to ensure data integrity in our primary platform, Solvas
- Educate business teams on client workflows, and products and services
- Partner with senior team members and leadership on business strategy, including evaluating whether the team can operationally and technically support prospective new products, services, and asset classes
- Architect and drive large, complex, cross-functional projects end-to-end with minimal oversight, from scoping and design through delivery, testing, and adoption
- Establish reusable frameworks, standards, and best practices that scale across clients, asset classes, and product offerings (CLOs, CFOs, rated note feeders, ABLs, and private credit funds)
- Serve as a subject-matter expert and mentor, providing technical guidance, design review, and coaching to other analysts on the team
- Orchestrate and lead technology demonstrations for prospective clients, translating platform capabilities into tailored, client-specific solutions
- Partner with Sales and Relationship Management throughout the prospecting and onboarding lifecycle to scope solutions and shape implementation approaches
- Represent UMB at industry conferences and events, staying current on market practices, systems, and emerging technology, and sharing insights back with the team

Knowledge & Skills
MINIMUM:
- Advanced MS Excel
- SQL (MSSQL, Oracle, SQLite, Access)
- Deep understanding of corporate bank loans
- Experience working with various structures of bank debt including CLOs, Interval funds, ABLs, Private debt, CFOs, Rated Debt Feeders
- Deep understanding of full trade cycle including settlements, closings, loan administration, loan agency
- Demonstrates strong client relationship management skills
- Demonstrates ability to provide positive client experience through a variety of methods including associate engagement, technology, workflows, and processing
- Demonstrates exceptional written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail, including top-tier communication across both internal and external (client-facing) audiences, with the ability to independently lead and own client communications without senior oversight
- Proven ability to independently architect, lead, and deliver large, complex projects with minimal oversight
- Demonstrated leadership presence, including experience presenting to and influencing clients, prospects, and senior internal stakeholders
- Experience mentoring or coaching junior team members and setting technical standards
PREFERRED:
- Power Query
- Python for automation, data analysis, and short-term solutions
- PowerBI
- JIRA, Confluence, Trello, Miro, and Figma
- Snowflake
- Prefect for data pipelines
- Familiarity with loan market systems such as ClearPar and Markit
- APIs
- Demonstrates strong operational knowledge of Corporate Trust processes and procedures
Requirements
MINIMUM:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Business Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 7 years financial industry technical projects or relevant experience, including a minimum of 5 years handling loan market related technical projects
PREFERRED:
- Certified Corporate Trust Specialist (CCTS) or Corporate Trust Master Certification (CTMC)
- Project management certification (e.g., PMP) or Agile/Scrum certification

Supervision/Management: No direct management accountabilities; provides mentorship, technical leadership, and design guidance to other analysts on the team

Compensation Range:
$117,900 - $173,393The posted compensation range on this listing represents UMB’s good faith and reasonable estimate based on its budget and what it expects to be the starting pay for this role, but the actual compensation may vary by geographic location, experience level, and other job-related factors.
