This role will elevate Samsung Ads in the industry and promote the sellable solutions that allow advertisers to reach their most important audiences. This position will be based in Los Angeles or New York City.

Role and Responsibilities

The Industry Events and Experiences Lead will be responsible for all planning and on-the-ground execution at the industry's biggest stages — CES, IAB NewFronts, Cannes Lions, Possible, and beyond. This is brand-building, not box-checking: you'll own the full lifecycle of our marquee events, from portfolio strategy and creative direction through vendor negotiation, budget ownership, and on-site execution, to post-event ROI reporting. You'll partner closely with sales, brand marketing, communications, operations, creative and executive leadership to ensure every activation reflects Samsung Ads at its best.

The ideal candidate moves fluidly between big-picture strategy and on-the-ground detail, stays composed under pressure, and has the flexibility to travel as needed — including evenings and weekends around event windows.

The scope of the role includes the following:

Strategy & Creative Direction

  • Architect the annual industry events portfolio and investment strategy with sales, marketing, and leadership — deciding which events, at what scale, and why
  • Set the creative vision for each activation — environmental design and layout, guest journey, content — so our presence feels distinct, not templated
  • Develop event briefs covering objectives, audiences, budgets, staffing, and success metrics; scout new venues and sponsorship opportunities

Execution & Vendor Management

  • Lead end-to-end logistics: venue sourcing, production, staffing, credentialing, and on-site operations
  • Manage and negotiate with agencies, production partners, and vendors; serve as on-the-ground lead, troubleshooting in real time
  • Manage sponsorship commitments to maximize visibility and value from every partnership

Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, comms, and executive leadership on all aspects of events — aligning stakeholders early and briefing executives on logistics and talking points
  • Build reusable playbooks, briefing templates, and vendor rosters to make each event faster and stronger than the last

Budget & Measurement

  • Own event budgets end-to-end: forecasting, tracking, reconciliation, and post-event financial reporting
  • Track KPIs beyond attendance — engagement, leads, media impressions, stakeholder sentiment, brand perception — and deliver recaps with recommendations for future investment
  • Benchmark against industry best practices and competitor activations

Skills and Qualifications

Requirements:

  • 8+ years in event marketing, experiential marketing, or industry activations, ideally in media, advertising, adtech, or consumer tech
  • Direct experience with large-scale industry events (CES, NewFronts, Cannes Lions, SXSW, Possible, or similar)
  • A distinct creative point of view and strong instincts — you know what makes an activation feel like the brand, not just another booth
  • Strong vendor/agency management, contract negotiation, and budget ownership skills
  • A calm, solutions-oriented demeanor under pressure, and excellent stakeholder and executive communication skills
  • Proficiency in creating polished presentation decks and organized spreadsheets
  • Willingness to travel as needed, including evenings/weekends around events
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • Preferred but not required: Experience with global consumer/tech brand activations at major stages; hybrid/digital event extensions; familiarity with CTV/streaming/adtech; experience building an events function from scratch.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong business acumen and the ability to instinctually make strategic decisions.
  • Ability to juggle multiple priority projects at once without sacrificing quality or attention to detail.
  • Exceptional presentation skills with the ability to draft compelling and polished materials.
  • Constant dissatisfaction with the status quo and an infectious desire to push boundaries to drive growth.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and continuous change in a fast-paced environment.
  • Cross-organizational collaboration with ability to influence others.
  • A bias for action and the ability to successfully serve multiple constituents and effectively manage one's own time and the time of others.

Compensation for this role, for candidates based in New York City, NY is expected to be between $170,000 to $200,000.  Actual pay will be determined considering factors such as relevant skills and experience, and comparison to other employees in the role.

Regular full-time employees (salaried or hourly) have access to benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, 401(k), Employee Purchase Program, Tuition Assistance (after 6 months), Paid Time Off, Student Loan Program (after 6 months), Wellness Incentives, and many more.
