Drive Customer Success in Queensland and NT’s Metal Mining Industry
Are you a technically minded sales professional who thrives on building relationships, solving problems, and being out in the field? This is an opportunity to join a global leader and work directly with some of Queensland's and Norther Territory’s largest metal mining operations, delivering solutions that improve safety, productivity, and performance.
We're looking for someone who understands industrial, mining, technical, or heavy industry environments and can confidently engage with engineers, maintenance teams, operational leaders, and procurement stakeholders. The role combines technical expertise, account management, and business development, with regular travel to customer mine sites across Queensland and Northern Territory.
Key responsibilities include:
- Build and strengthen relationships with key customers across Queensland's and Northern Territory’s metal mining operations.
- Provide technical advice, product support, and practical solutions that improve safety, productivity, and operational performance.
- Conduct on-site product installations, testing, inspections, and performance evaluations at customer mine sites.
- Identify and convert new business opportunities while growing existing accounts within your territory.
- Partner with site operational, engineering, maintenance, and procurement teams to understand customer challenges and deliver value-added solutions.
- Promote the full product portfolio, identify emerging customer needs, and contribute to new product opportunities.
- Monitor market activity, competitor developments, and customer demand trends to support business growth and territory planning.
- Maintain accurate reporting, forecasting, and customer activity records while ensuring all mine site access requirements remain current.
About You:
To be successful, you'll bring a blend of technical capability, commercial awareness, and relationship-building skills. Comfortable working within mining and industrial environments, you'll partner closely with customers to understand their challenges, provide practical solutions, and identify opportunities to grow business and deliver value.
You will ideally have:
- Experience in technical sales, account management, field service, or a mining-related role.
- A background in mining, ground support, industrial products, heavy industry, engineering, trades, or manufacturing.
- Strong business development and account growth experience.
- The ability to confidently discuss technical concepts with customers and operational teams.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
- A proactive and self-driven approach, with the ability to work independently.
- A current driver's licence and the ability to maintain mine site medicals and inductions.
- Strong computer literacy and experience using Microsoft Office applications.
Highly regarded:
- Experience within underground or metal mining operations.
- Knowledge of ground support products or mining consumables.
- Trade qualifications or technical qualifications.
- Experience working in customer-facing roles within industrial or mining environments
