Groundskeeper

Location: Columbia Woodlands Resort – Dover, OH

Position Summary

Columbia Woodlands is seeking a dependable and hardworking Groundskeeper to help maintain the beauty, cleanliness, and safety of our resort property. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in creating a welcoming environment, and is comfortable operating landscaping equipment. The Groundskeeper plays an important role in ensuring guests have an exceptional experience by keeping the grounds well-maintained year-round.

Responsibilities

• Mow, edge, trim, and maintain lawns throughout the property.
• Plant, water, weed, mulch, and maintain flower beds, shrubs, and landscaping.
• Trim trees, hedges, and bushes to maintain a clean appearance.
• Remove leaves, branches, litter, and other debris from walkways, parking lots, and common areas.
• Assist with seasonal landscaping projects and property improvements.
• Perform seasonal duties including snow removal, salting walkways, and leaf removal as needed.
• Operate and maintain landscaping equipment, including mowers, trimmers, blowers, hedge trimmers, and other power tools.
• Monitor irrigation systems and report maintenance needs.
• Assist with setting up and tearing down outdoor spaces for weddings, events, and resort activities.
• Perform minor exterior maintenance and repairs as assigned.
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain equipment in good working condition.
• Report property hazards, maintenance concerns, or safety issues to management.
• Provide friendly and professional service when interacting with guests and team members.

Qualifications

• Previous groundskeeping, landscaping, or property maintenance experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to safely operate landscaping equipment and hand tools.
• Strong work ethic with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks including bending, kneeling, standing, and walking for extended periods.
• Valid driver's license preferred.

Schedule

• Full-Time
• Flexible schedule, including occasional weekends and holidays as needed.
• Hours may vary based on seasonal property needs.
