As the Senior Manager of PCBA DfM Engineering, you will provide strategic direction and technical leadership for a specialized engineering organization responsible for the manufacturability, yield, and quality of Google’s Consumer Hardware products (including Phones, Watches, Hearables, and more). At this level, you are expected to be an industry-leading expert who will define the multi-year technology road map for Surface Mount Technology and advanced packaging integration. You will operate with a high degree of autonomy, partnering with executive leadership across product design, hardware engineering, and global supply chain to solve the most complex physical challenges in consumer electronics and ensure our products are built reliably at massive scale. US: $214000 - $299000 (USD) + 25% bonus target + equity + benefits Learn more aboutbenefits at Google (https://www.google.com/about/careers/applications/benefits/) . **Responsibilities** + Develop and lead a high-performing global organization of Design for Manufacturability (DfM) and Surface Mount Technology (SMT) engineers. + Define and execute long-term SMT and PCBA manufacturing strategies, driving adoption of next-generation component technologies. + Serve as the primary technical authority for high-impact manufacturing escalations, resolving complex defects utilizing root-cause analysis. + Partner strategically with tier-one industry vendors and contract manufacturers (CM) to influence supplier material and equipment road maps. + Advocate the centralized architecture of technology documentation to scale organizational knowledge and set internal DfM guidelines.
