As a 2nd Shift Logistics Supervisor, you'll play a critical leadership role in ensuring materials move efficiently throughout our operation, supporting production schedules, customer commitments, and Aircraft on Ground (AOG) priorities. Leading a team of Material Processors, you'll create an environment where safety, quality, teamwork, and continuous improvement drive operational success every day.

What You Will Do

  • Lead and develop a team of Material Processors by providing daily direction, coaching, and performance feedback while fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and teamwork.

  • Oversee all second shift warehouse and logistics activities, ensuring materials are received, stored, transported, and shipped accurately to support production and customer delivery commitments.

  • Balance labor resources and assign work based on operational priorities, staffing levels, and changing business demands to maximize productivity and service levels.

  • Monitor warehouse operations including inventory accuracy, material movement, shipping, receiving, and order fulfillment to ensure operational excellence.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, regulatory requirements, and environmental health and safety procedures.

  • Investigate and resolve operational issues, inventory discrepancies, shipping delays, and employee concerns while driving timely corrective actions.

  • Partner with Production, Planning, Quality, Customer Service, and Supply Chain teams to resolve escalations, improve material flow, and enhance overall operational performance.

  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to eliminate waste, improve processes, and implement best practices using Lean principles.

  • Manage employee performance through coaching, recognition, performance evaluations, and corrective action while supporting employee engagement and professional development.

  • Monitor and communicate key operational metrics including labor utilization, productivity, attendance, inventory accuracy, and shift performance to leadership.

  • Provide after-hours support for Aircraft on Ground (AOG) customer needs through participation in the off-hours AOG phone support rotation.

  • Foster a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and operational excellence while helping the team achieve business objectives.

  • 2nd Shift: Monday – Friday, 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM.

  • Training Schedule: May be on 1st/2nd Shift until management deems the employee is able to work independently and unsupervised.   We anticipate the training to be roughly a month.

What You Will Learn

  • Advanced warehouse and distribution leadership within a world-class aerospace manufacturing environment.

  • Best practices for inventory management, material flow optimization, and warehouse operations.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field

  • Working experience in  inventory control, shipping, receiving, warehouse operations, and/or material management.

  • Ability to work 2nd shift hours -Monday – Friday, 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience supporting aerospace manufacturing, repair operations, or other high-volume distribution environments.

  • Experience supervising employees in a union manufacturing or distribution environment.

  • Experience with SAP or Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).

  • Experience applying Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
