General Manager GCC Cluster
About This Role: As the General Manager (GM) for GCC, you will embody the pinnacle of leadership at the Cluster level, with a mandate to steer the business toward long-term prosperity. Your role will place you at the helm of operations, ensuring seamless alignment with company policies and adherence to all relevant regulations. As the local face of our organization, you will champion the establishment and enhancement of our global corporate brand, utilizing the Biogen GM Accountability model to its fullest. You will lead the Cluster Leadership Team, coordinating with international teams to align and drive priorities, while maintaining a culture of excellence and operational acuity. Your strategic vision will be critical in leading your team to achieve performance goals within a legal and compliant framework, establishing you as the ultimate authority for business decisions in your Affiliate/Cluster.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead the Cluster team to attain long-term objectives and annual performance goals while ensuring compliance with all local and internal Biogen regulations and policies.
- Execute Biogen’s global corporate strategy at the local level, fostering a culture of excellence and operational superiority.
- Manage core and supporting functions to ensure deliverables are on track, with established metrics to measure core activities.
- Drive a culture of inclusion, speak-up, and compliance within the Cluster.
- Oversee business strategy and execution to meet objectives, providing conditions necessary for success and aligning with corporate marketing/brand strategy.
- Supervise customer engagement strategies, ensuring alignment with compliance and business dynamics.
- Facilitate market access for products, overseeing pricing strategies and maintaining communication with Global & Regional Market Access teams.
- Ensure medical activities align with company strategy, supporting the Medical team in becoming the partner of choice for external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with HR to ensure staffing excellence, fostering an environment of risk-taking and inclusivity.
- Uphold legal, fiduciary, and compliance responsibilities, minimizing risk and adhering to internal and external standards and regulations.
- Account for P&L management, budgeting, financial forecasting/reporting, and compliance with financial policies.
- Ensure effective supply chain management, accurate forecasting, and compliance with legal obligations for medicine distribution.
- Promote Biogen’s corporate brand locally, maintaining productive relationships with healthcare organizations, government bodies, and industry associations.
- Oversee IT, facilities, and procurement, ensuring infrastructure facilitates productivity and compliance with corporate policies.

Required Skills:
- Proven experience in leadership roles with responsibility for business performance in a biotechnology or pharmaceutical environment.
- Strong understanding of local and international laws, regulations, and compliance standards within the pharmaceutical industry.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute business strategies aligned with company objectives.
- Experience managing P&L, budgeting, and financial forecasting with a track record of achieving business targets.
- Knowledge of market access, pricing strategies, and healthcare systems.
- Effective communication and relationship-building skills with a wide range of stakeholders including healthcare organizations and government bodies.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and initiatives.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in driving organizational change and promoting a culture of innovation and inclusion.
- Expertise in supply chain management and logistics within the pharmaceutical sector.
- Advanced degree in Business Administration, Management, or related field.
