Director, Sport Product Management, Running - Global Accessories
WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
This role reports to the VP of Global Accessories and will manage a PM team responsible for Running, Training, and Brand Impact sports. The team pioneers distinctive Accessories product shaped by deep athlete/consumer insights, igniting ideas through close partnership with global sport category, innovation, product and merchandising. The Director has a seat at the x-functional GM staff table, and the Accessories LT table. They represent Sport specific Accessories in strategy, concept, and seasonal product discussions and then inspire a cross functional crew —product management, design, product development - to create H2T athlete uniform solutions, deliver sport moments/promo, and seize outsized marketplace opportunities.

The ideal candidate is a strategic, enterprise‑minded leader who shapes product strategy and product creation across multiple interconnected teams. We need an excellent communicator, that can turn sport insights and category strategy goals into a clear, motivating product strategy that drives meaningful brand and business impact. Confident in ambiguity, they synthesize imperfect data, resolve complex cross‑functional issues, and lead with accountability and influence. They steward expert level sport athlete and consumer insights with category business goals, build strong organizational partnerships, and influence/elevate the extended team around them. Ideal candidates are self-starters that bring a deep understanding of the athlete, product landscape, and marketplace, while balancing art and science to deliver brand and business results at scale.
- Bachelor's degree in business management, merchandising or related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience and training.
- 10+ years directly relevant experience in product creation, merchandising or related fields
- Demonstrated success in leading and empowering teams
- Strong cross-functional leadership and team development skills
- Experience in consumer, cultural, and marketplace insights
- Ability to build trust and collaborative partnerships across matrixed organizations
- Ability to travel internationally up to 20%
WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON
In this role, you lead the Sport Accessories product creation offense for Running and oversee 2 direct reports covering Training and Brand Impact Sports. Responsible for H2T vision for athlete uniform (headwear, socks, bags) for promo and retail. You will craft the strategy, drive insight gathering and innovation map, align seasonal goals with merch and chassis team, and steer all stages of the creation process. You bring clarity, pace, and vision to a cross-functional team to deliver distinct, innovative, consumer-right product for your Sport X Accessories products.
- Brings extensive end-to-end to product creation experience; You will partner with sport category functions, innovation, and the extended chassis team to unlock Accessories specific opportunities rooted in athlete and consumer insight across chassis and expression- briefing to line management to hand-over presentations.
- You will translate enterprise Sport and Accessories objectives into a clear, specific strategy, defined road map, and operating plan; sets measurable goals with regards to brand and business impact across the business segment.
- You will be tasked with leading and driving Sport POV for Accessories across the Category, Accessories chassis, and Geo partner to deliver outcomes at pace. You will lead creation of a sport athlete uniform roadmap and execution for key product and integration gates- Creative Launch, Strategic Innovation Review, Global Geo Handover, etc.
- You will help the team navigate ambiguous, complex problems—balancing consumer insights with marketplace intelligence —to deliver consumer-right products for promo, sport moments, concepts and seasonal execution.
- You will be an essential member of the leadership team and perform key managerial responsibilities including but not limited to stewarding our annual/seasonal product plans; developing teammates and culture; leading performance management, and resourcing decisions.
