Accountabilities:

    The Financial Services Instructor will provide high-quality virtual instruction within the financial services curriculum while supporting student engagement, skill development, and career preparation. This role requires maintaining current industry knowledge, applying effective teaching methods, and fostering an interactive learning environment.

    • Deliver financial services instruction through virtual, online, blended, in-person, or live webinar formats as required.
    • Provide approximately 15 to 40 instructional contact hours per week based on course demand and scheduling needs.
    • Facilitate active learning experiences and use authentic assessment methods to support student achievement.
    • Maintain up-to-date knowledge and skills within the financial services field to ensure relevant instruction.
    • Create and maintain a positive classroom environment aligned with educational values and student success goals.
    • Support the onboarding, training, and development of new and existing instructors when needed.
    • Participate in required meetings, professional development sessions, training activities, and institutional events.
    • Follow established academic policies, procedures, and operational guidelines.
    • Encourage student growth by providing guidance, feedback, and support throughout the learning experience.
    • Requirements:

      The ideal candidate is a knowledgeable financial services professional with teaching experience and a passion for helping learners develop career-focused skills. They should demonstrate strong communication abilities, professionalism, and the ability to create engaging learning experiences in a virtual environment.

      • Bachelor’s degree required.
      • Possession of or previous possession of an insurance license in Life/Health and/or Property/Casualty.
      • Preferred minimum of 3 years of teaching experience.
      • Professional experience or expertise in financial services, insurance, or a related discipline.
      • Strong facilitation skills with the ability to engage learners through active teaching methods.
      • Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
      • Ability to adapt teaching approaches to different learning formats and student needs.
      • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality instruction.
      • Professionalism, integrity, self-motivation, and dedication to supporting student success.
      • Ability to maintain current industry knowledge and apply effective assessment techniques.
