How you’ll make an impact in this role
- Identify, intervene, and assist with stabilizing ill or injured patients under the direction of a physician and/or Registered Nurse.
- Initiate and support appropriate patient care interventions in accordance with hospital protocols, scope of practice, and established standards of care.
- Monitor, document, and communicate patient condition, treatment provided, and response to interventions as appropriate.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members to support timely, coordinated, and compassionate patient care.
What minimum requirements you’ll need
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- One or more of the following required:
- Paramedic specializing in Flight credentialed from the International Board of Specialty Certification obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
- Paramedic credentialed from the Florida Emergency Medical Services obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Education:
- High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
What additional preferences we're seeking
Minimum 2 years of ED experience.
