Accountabilities:
- ware Cloud Foundation (VCF), vCenter, and OpenShift Virtualization.
- Build and evolve scalable, highly available infrastructure environments with a focus on reliability, performance, and operational efficiency.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize platforms using observability tools such as vROps, Prometheus, and Grafana.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and lifecycle management using Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell, and related technologies.
- Integrate AI-driven automation capabilities into operational workflows to improve efficiency and reduce manual processes.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and operational procedures.
- Manage incidents, support service reliability, and ensure SLA/SLO commitments are achieved.
- Apply security best practices, including access control, least privilege principles, and secure secrets management.
- Participate in critical operational activities, including on-call support when required.
- 5+ years of recent hands-on experience working with VMware and/or OpenShift Virtualization technologies.
- Strong understanding of infrastructure fundamentals, including networking, storage, high availability, disaster recovery, and backup strategies.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform and configuration management solutions such as Ansible.
- Knowledge of CI/CD practices, automation workflows, and version control systems such as Git.
- Experience with monitoring and observability platforms including Prometheus, Grafana, or vROps.
- Familiarity with AI-driven automation concepts or integrating AI capabilities into operational processes.
- Understanding of security principles related to access management, secrets handling, and infrastructure protection.
- Professional proficiency in English; German language skills are a plus.
- Strong ownership mindset with the ability to take responsibility from concept through implementation and delivery.
