The Systems Engineering & Test Capabilities team is seeking a highly motivated Senior Systems Engineer to serve as a Flight Test Mission Lead in support of Patriot programs. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in planning and leading system‑level test efforts. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting‑edge missile defense technologies within a collaborative and innovative environment.

What You Will Do

  • Flight Test Mission Lead through planning, execution, and reporting

  • Responsible for test planning and walkup – including test readiness assessments

  • Responsible for the execution of scenario development, simulation runs, and hardware in the loop runs for record

  • Coordinate with analysts and subject matter experts to ensure pre-mission data is properly analyzed and presented

  • Coordinate with the overall Patriot Flight Test Lead to identify resources required to execute test event

  • Identify travel team members, coordinate required briefs / access / permissions, provide travel information, manage travel logistics

  • Support Missions: Travel as needed (up to 10%) domestic and international to support mission execution.

  • This role is onsite at our RTX facility in Andover, MA.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience

  • Experience with system integration and/or system test

  • Experience generating technical documentation, including test plans, procedures, and technical reports

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience performing radar and/or system‑level performance data analysis

  • Experience working in an integration lab, test facility, or in the field supporting integration and/or verification

  • Experience planning or executing system‑level test events (ground tests, flight tests, or customer system tests)

  • Experience interfacing with internal or external customers and using MATLAB or other data‑analysis tools

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
