The Position

The Operations Engineer – NPI is responsible for introducing new products, in this case electron microscopes and relevant modules, into manufacturing and ensuring a smooth transition from development to volume production. This role defines manufacturing requirements, develops production documentation, supports pilot builds, and provides technical support during product stabilization. You will work closely with Manufacturing, R&D, Quality, Supply Chain, and Service teams to deliver high-quality products.

We welcome both experienced engineers and motivated graduates with a technical background who are eager to learn and grow in a high-tech environment.

What will you do?

  • Introduce new products (Electron microscope systems and modules) into manufacturing and support production ramp-up

  • Collaborate with R&D to improve manufacturability, serviceability, and product quality

  • Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation, work instructions, and test procedures

  • Provide technical support during pilot builds and early production

  • Troubleshoot technical issues and perform root cause analysis

  • Implement engineering changes and continuous process improvements

  • Support the development of manufacturing tools, fixtures, and test equipment

  • Cooperate with suppliers to ensure manufacturing readiness

  • Train Manufacturing and Service teams on new products and processes

Who are we looking for?

  • University degree in Engineering or another technical field

  • Experience in manufacturing, product development, service, or operations engineering is an advantage

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

  • Ability to collaborate in an international environment

  • Fluent English

  • Willingness to travel occasionally (up to 25%)
