The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a senior intelligence planner and SME in the J2 Staff, 16th Air Force, Air Forces Cyber, and Joint Force Headquarters - Cyber with responsibilities that include intelligence planning in support of combatant command plans and operation, cryptologic intelligence oversight program management, special access program & special technical operations.
Conducts and oversees the most complex planning of multi-source intelligence support to operations. Serves as a subject matter expert for intelligence support to operational planning. Develops and presents ISR capabilities to a wide variety of service, national and coalition customers. Provides Combatant Commanders the intelligence information derived from ISR assets to maximize their own forces' effectiveness by optimizing friendly force strengths, exploiting adversary weaknesses, and countering adversary strengths. Serves as a senior adviser and primary consultant in the dissemination of multi-source intelligence. Leads a wide variety of complex and non-routine collection and operations projects/programs/teams to support component, combatant command, and support agency planning and operations. Plans, directs and oversees ISR operations. Manages, oversees, and integrates functions to provide ISR intelligence and situational awareness necessary to successfully plan and conduct operations in support of the commanders and other customers within the assigned areas of responsibility. Serves as a senior technical authority on ISR issues. Makes authoritative recommendations and defends decisions on operations policy matters to the Director and Headquarters 16 AF staff and is often required to make difficult decisions committing NAF funds or resources impacting future capabilities. Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities. Advises and provides counsel to employees regarding policies, procedures, and directives of management. Develops, modifies, and/or interprets performance standards.
