Monitors development, testing, customer vehicle integration and production launch. As components are ASIL Safety rated, must apply safety experience and knowledge so that the code written meets safety standards. Provides leadership, guidance, and mentorship to junior engineers. Works with a team of software engineers to design, implement, verify, and deploy software components. Mentors and provides technical support to less experienced developers. This individual will be a responsible, motivated, self-starter who is able to work alone as well as in a team environment. Influences the software architecture of product development, drives computationally intensive and resource limited C++ development. Drives software development cycle, participates in the creation, maintenance, and enforcement of coding standards for safety-critical software. Implements critical software components and translates technical details of development to management staff. Analyzes and executes test plans and confirms that the software behavior respects the requirement documents. Investigates new technologies (frameworks, libraries, practices, etc.) and integrates them to the current codebase. Ensures good documentation for all the algorithm design and implementation decisions. Acts as a strong contributor at design reviews and project meetings.Will accept a Master's Degree (or foreign academic equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics Engineering or related degree field.Pay Range: $102,190.00 - $150,200.00/yearApplicants: Qualcomm is an equal opportunity employer.
