Position Summary
The Production Planner is responsible for reviewing customer requirements, forecasts, and internal production needs. This role ensures that production orders are planned and scheduled to meet delivery commitments and that all shipments are completed on time and in full.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain short- and long-term production plans for assigned areas, ensuring alignment with business goals and available capacity (equipment and workforce).
- Adjust production plans based on CTB, demand fluctuations, and backlog issues.
- Load and manage production orders in Business Central (BC) across multiple work centers.
- Collaborate with production and cross-functional departments to set priorities and ensure effective execution of weekly and daily schedules.
- Escalate any issues that may impact revenue, delivery performance, or inventory levels.
- Monitor material shortages and coordinate with buyers to ensure timely availability.
- Coordinate new product validations and component changes with relevant stakeholders.
- Support capacity analysis and adjustment planning to optimize resource utilization.
- Ensure timely responses to sales inquiries and urgent customer requests.
- Comply with all legal, quality, health, safety, and environmental requirements.
- Participate in required trainings and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the direct manager.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in production planning, with strong analytical and database management skills.
- Proficient in Business Central (BC) or similar ERP systems.
- Intermediate to advanced English proficiency (spoken and written).
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for inventory discrepancy resolution.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Demonstrated proactivity, organization, adaptability, teamwork, and effective communication under pressure.
- Positive attitude and continuous learning mindset.
Soft Skills
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and time management skills.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities, effective team player.
