Government Information Specialist (FOIA)

Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Commissioner, Privacy, FOIA and EEO Office located in Washington, DC. Applies FOIA policies and procedures to ensure compliance with FOIA laws, DHS regulations and DOJ policies This position starts at a salary of $57,736.00 (GS-07, Step 1) to $91,815.00 (GS-09, Step 10) with promotion potential to $133,142 (GS-12 Step 10). Typical duties include: Assists in developing and conducting Department-wide FOIA training programs. Processing FOIA requests for CBP records. Conducting research and reviewing the content of the records to make disclosure determinationsunder FOIA.
