We are currently seeking a MxTest Developer to join our team in Bangalore, Karnātaka (IN-KA), India (IN).

Role Overview

We are looking for a Murex Automation Tester with hands-on experience in MxTEST to design, build, and maintain automated test suites for Murex implementation, upgrade, and support engagements. The role involves working closely with functional consultants and developers to ensure test coverage across trading, risk, and back-office workflows.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated regression and functional test scripts using Murex MxTEST framework
  • Build and manage test data sets covering multiple asset classes (FX, Rates, Credit, Commodities, Equities)
  • Execute automated test cycles for Murex upgrades, patches, and configuration changes; analyze and triage failures
  • Collaborate with business analysts and functional SMEs to translate business requirements and test scenarios into automated scripts
  • Integrate MxTEST automation suites into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps or similar)
  • Maintain test scripts as living documentation — update scripts as Murex configuration evolves across releases
  • Log, track, and manage defects through resolution using tools such as Jira, HP ALM, or similar
  • Produce test summary reports, coverage metrics, and sign-off documentation for release governance
  • Support UAT cycles by validating automated results against manual test benchmarks
  • Contribute to test strategy and automation roadmap, identifying opportunities to expand coverage and reduce manual testing effort

Required Skills & Experience

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Murex MxTEST (or equivalent Murex test automation tooling)
  • Strong understanding of Murex functional areas: Front Office, Back Office, Risk, Settlements, and Static Data
  • Working knowledge of Murex data model, GOM (Generic Object Model), workflow configuration, GOM
  • Experience with SQL for test data validation and defect analysis
  • Familiarity with test management and defect tracking tools (Jira, HP ALM, TestRail, or similar)
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments
  • Understanding of capital markets products (FX, Interest Rate Derivatives, Fixed Income, Money Markets)
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills; ability to work independently on complex test scenarios

Preferred / Nice to Have

  • Experience integrating MxTEST with CI/CD pipelines
  • Exposure to Murex upgrade projects (e.g., Mx 2.x to Mx 3.1 migrations)
  • Scripting skills (Python, Shell, or Groovy) for test utility development
  • Murex certification(s) or formal Murex training
