**Meet the Team** Global Invoice to Cash team is responsible for the core operational functions of billing and invoicing, cash collections, dispute management, and cash application. Join us! **Your Impact** As a Collections Manager, you will lead the end-to-end Invoice to Cash (I2C) lifecycle for assigned segments within the US and Canada. This role is at the heart of our operations, where you will handle receivables and ensure accurate cash application while providing thoughtful support for billing inquiries. By fostering relationship-based interactions, you will help resolve account balances, encourage a culture of continuous improvement, and ensure our work aligns with financial and regulatory standards across the North American market. **Key Responsibilities:** + **Leadership & Team Management:** + Guide, mentor, and support the Invoice to Cash (I2C) team, fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment where everyone can thrive. + Build and scale the team by establishing clear workflows, hiring talent, and promoting a culture of shared accountability. + Set clear goals, conduct regular coaching sessions, and support the professional growth of each team member. + Oversee daily operations, ensuring the team feels confident in following established procedures and our Global Billing and Collections Policy. + Partner with Sales, Finance, Tax, and Customer Lifecycle Operations to ensure we are working together effectively, while maintaining a strong, supportive relationship with the Credit function. + **Invoice to Cash (I2C) Management:** + Develop and implement I2C strategies that meet the unique needs of the US and Canadian markets. + Monitor team performance using key metrics, focusing on reducing delinquency rates and minimizing unapplied cash to reach our collective goals. + Analyze aging reports to identify trends, mitigate risk, and proactively address potential issues. + Manage complex escalations with empathy, facilitating professional communication with customers to ensure timely resolution while maintaining positive, long-term business relationships. + **Process Optimization & Compliance:** + Cultivate a continuous improvement mindset by identifying opportunities for process automation and workflow efficiency. + Ensure all activities align with regional financial regulations and internal SOX controls. + Share performance reports with leadership, highlighting key metrics, cash flow status, and operational insights. **Minimum Qualifications** + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. + 7+ years of progressive experience in credit and collections, with at least 2–3 years in a leadership or supervisory capacity. + Proven expertise in managing teams that support Billing, Collections, and Cash Applications, specifically within the US and Canada regions. + In-depth knowledge of North American financial regulations, tax legislation, and best practices for Invoice to Cash. + Proficiency with enterprise-level ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP) and financial automation tools (e.g., HighRadius). + Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data modeling). + Fluent in English; professional proficiency in French is considered an asset for the Canadian market. + **Flexibility to work weekends and extended hours during critical business periods, specifically month-end and quarter-end close cycles.** **Preferred Qualifications** + **Leadership:** Demonstrated ability to motivate, mentor, and manage diverse teams to achieve operational excellence. + **Team Building:** Proven ability to build, structure, and scale a high-performing team from the ground up. + **Strategic Thinking:** Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights and strategic decisions. + **Continuous Improvement:** A proactive mindset focused on identifying inefficiencies and implementing scalable, long-term solutions. + **Communication:** Exceptional interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization. + **Results-Oriented:** Proven ability to work under pressure, manage competing priorities, and meet strict financial deadlines. + **Integrity:** High ethical standards and a commitment to maintaining data accuracy and financial compliance. **Why Cisco?** At Cisco, we’re revolutionizing how data and infrastructure connect and protect organizations in the AI era – and beyond.
