WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Pharmacy Supervisor (Harrisburg, PA)

The Pharmacy Supervisor is a working leadership role, completing pharmacy technician duties, as well as guiding day-to-day operations of the pharmacy workflow technicians. The supervisor will be responsible for a group of Pharmacy Workflow Technicians, reviewing and monitoring performance to optimize outputs, to ensure all are working towards a common goal and remaining productive.

This is a full-time, onsite position located in Harrisburg, PA. This position requires 40 hours per week, typically scheduled Monday-Friday between our operating hours of 6:30 am and 4:30 pm ET with a rotating Saturday from 7:00 am-3:30 pm ET.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of pharmacy, including positioning team members to ensure steady output and ensuring team members execute assigned tasks

  • Assist with technician training, scheduling, and timecard approvals

  • Assist technicians with workflow dynamics and daily order dispensing 

  • Work closely with pharmacy leads to ensure team unity

  • Expect to spend 50% of time participating in pharmacy workflow duties (subject to change based on the needs of the department)

  • Maintain safe and healthy work environment by enforcing organization standards and adhering to regulations

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Provide work direction and lead daily operations of Technician direct reports:

    • Develop team talent; create and implement written plans for optimizing team member performance

    • Assist Pharmacists & Workflow Manager with hiring, leading, coaching, mentoring, motivating, resolving associate disputes, and retaining staff

    • Identify training needs and conduct performance management activities for associates including disciplinary action

WHAT YOU BRING

    • 5+ years experience in a pharmacy, wholesale operation, relative experience in operations logistics, operations leadership or equivalent

    • Current valid Pharmacy Technician registration/certification OR ability to obtain licensure within 90 days of employment

    • GED, High School Diploma, or equivalent

    • Knowledge of pharmacy operations and dispensing

    • Team building skills: should be positive, respectful, and dependable  

    • Problem solving skills: should be adaptable, thorough, innovative and well versed in all aspects of pharmacy workflow

    • Innovative mindset and ability to embrace change and take on new challenges

    • Results driven, proactive, and able to work autonomously

    • Ability to lead team toward organizational goals with successful outcomes

    • Strong communication, interpersonal skills, and conflict resolution skills

    • Ability to provide and receive constructive feedback in a professional manner

    Preferred Experience and Qualifications:

    • Previous experience in a leadership role (manager, supervisor, etc.)

    WORKING CONDITIONS

    • Environment where dogs are present if in the office

    • Lifting and shelving items weighing up to 50 pounds repeatedly

    • Ability to work standing on pressurized concrete for long periods of time

    • Occasionally stooping, lifting, and/or bending

    • Occasionally reaching overhead and using a step ladder

    Pay range (US based applicants): $63,000 - $70,000 (annualized)

    Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, experience, certifications, relevant education and training, while also considering internal equity.
