Accountabilities:

    The HMMS Data Input & Retrieval Specialist III is responsible for managing data entry, validation, retrieval, and customer support activities while ensuring compliance with established procedures and regulatory standards. The role requires strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and the ability to maintain high-quality data across complex systems.

    • Process and monitor Safety Data Sheet (SDS) requests daily, conducting research and communicating directly with customers to address their needs.
    • Perform accurate SDS data entry according to established standard operating procedures and maintain data integrity through regular verification and reconciliation activities.
    • Act as the primary point of contact for HMMS-related SDS requests and provide responsive customer support throughout the request lifecycle.
    • Conduct audits of chemical information, company records, and related datasets to ensure accuracy and compliance.
    • Review and process records requiring quality assurance validation and support ongoing data quality initiatives.
    • Maintain knowledge of OSHA Hazard Communication standards, Globally Harmonized System policies, and applicable regulatory updates.
    • Support system administration activities, including application maintenance, software configuration, and database-related tasks.
    • Utilize reporting tools and analytical methods to verify, validate, and improve data quality.
    • Participate in internal demonstrations, meetings, and continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Perform additional duties and limited travel as required.
    • Requirements:

      The ideal candidate brings experience in data entry, regulatory information management, and quality assurance processes, with the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with technical and operational teams.

      • U.S. citizenship and ability to verify employment eligibility through required documentation.
      • Ability to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance and Common Access Card.
      • High school diploma or GED required.
      • Minimum of 2 years of data entry experience, preferably within an environmental, safety, or regulatory-related field.
      • Knowledge of Safety Data Sheets, Chemical Abstract Substance Registry, hazardous materials, and hazardous waste management.
      • Understanding of OSHA Hazard Communication standards and regulatory compliance programs involving agencies such as OSHA and EPA.
      • Experience performing quality assurance reviews, data verification, reconciliation, and reporting activities.
      • Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate data models and identify inconsistencies.
      • Ability to operate computer systems, scanners, and other automated equipment efficiently.
      • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present clear and concise information.
      • Ability to type at least 35 words per minute.
      • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, adaptability, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
      • Ability to successfully complete required screening processes, including drug testing.
