Job Description
The Digital Electromechanical Engineer activities are focused on the delivery of functional parts and macros which can be used in EPLAN system environment. This system contains EPLAN P8 / ProPanel engineering software where the engineers can use parts and macros to develop electrical wiring diagrams, 2D and 3D design of control cabinets. The main role of a Digital Electromechanical Engineer is to identify product structure, design, and rules to develop the best electrical and mechanical logical representation of the device. Is responsible to provide the data for application and project engineers to enable effective project creation in the EPLAN environment, including functionalities such as schematic wiring diagram design, 2D or 3D mechanical design and report generation like bill of materials, drilling patterns for automatic CNC machines or connection data for wiring machines.
You will report to the Team Lead located in Poland and have a hybrid schedule working in Katowice, Poland
Your Responsibilities:
- Facilitate functional parts and macros in the EPLAN environment for Allen-Bradley industrial automation components
- Maintain the databases with EPLAN parts data and macros with CAD models and drawings
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Development Engineering and Technical Support to obtain the data needed to create parts and macros in the EPLAN environment
- Respond to internal and external customer feedbacks or service requests
- Analyze the causes of errors in the parts and macros and initiation of necessary corrective actions
The Essentials - You Will Have:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent
- Communicative English, that enables collaboration with global team
- 1+ years of experience in electrical schematics design
- Understand of electrical symbols and basic electrical design rules
- Knowledge about basic electrical and mechanical components used to design control cabinets
The Preferred - You Might Also Have:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent
- Communicative English, that enables collaboration with global team
- Experience in electrical schematics design
- Understand of electrical symbols and basic electrical design rules
- Knowledge about basic electrical and mechanical components used to design control cabinets
