We are seeking candidates who model our values: invest in every relationship, lead with curiosity, champion diverse perspectives, turn inputs into actions, and uphold trust through integrity. Skills and Competencies3+ years of professional software engineering experienceSolid Python development skills, with exposure to AWS Lambda or serverless architecturesWorking knowledge of React and/or TypeScript for frontend developmentFamiliarity with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or SQL ServerExperience writing unit and integration tests using pytest or similar frameworksComfortable working in version-controlled codebases and CI/CD environmentsEagerness to learn and apply AWS services within a serverless stackBasic understanding of artificial intelligence concepts, with curiosity and enthusiasm for learning how AI tools can be used to improve processes and drive efficiency.Exposure to AWS Glue, Step Functions, or data pipeline development is a plusFamiliarity with infrastructure-as-code concepts such as AWS CDK is a plusCuriosity about LLMs, agentic tools, or AI-assisted development workflows is a plusExperience working on data-heavy or analytics-focused products along with Docker and Containerization is a plusEducationBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent professional experienceResponsibilitiesContribute to end-to-end feature delivery across backend and frontend systems while growing technical depth within established architectural patterns.Build and maintain Python-based AWS Lambda functions and API Gateway endpoints for product featuresDevelop React and TypeScript frontend components under the guidance of Senior engineersWrite unit and integration tests and contribute to maintaining CI/CD pipelinesWork with S3 and relational databases to support data access and storage needsContribute to ETL and data pipeline work under the direction of the Senior Data EngineerParticipate actively in code reviews, sprint ceremonies, and technical discussionsDocument features and APIs clearly for use by other squads and stakeholdersAbout the TeamThis role sits within a full‑stack engineering team supporting Moody’s Casualty and Financial Lines platforms.
