As a Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Supervisor here at Honeywell, you will be responsible for overseeing and directing the organization's health, safety, and environmental efforts at the Baton Rouge UOP site. You will ensure the highest standards of health and safety for employees, compliance with environmental regulations, and the implementation of best practices.
In this role, you will impact our organization by overseeing the development and implementation of health, safety, and environmental programs that ensure compliance with regulations and industry standards. Your ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders will ensure that HSE considerations are integrated into business processes and decision-making, contributing to the overall success and reputation of our business as a responsible and sustainable organization.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee wastewater, stormwater and sanitary sewer compliance activities such as sampling and reporting to ensure compliance with NPDES permit
- Build trust while holding leaders accountable for results
- Drive contractor safety programs including ISN oversite and field audits
- Oversee Industrial Hygiene monitoring activities such as hearing and respirator programs
- Develop and implement comprehensive HSE strategies that align with the organization's mission, ensuring a culture of safety, health, and environmental responsibility.
- Ensure that the organization complies with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations, permits, and certifications.
- Oversight, Accountability, and Leadership as it relates to HSE
- Provide oversight for HSE performance, compliance, and risk management.
- Lead MOS, escalation, and issue resolution in alignment with Honeywell escalation protocols.
- Ensure timely escalation of significant risks, events, and performance concerns to Corporate HSEPS leadership.
- Validate execution effectiveness through event verification, site reviews, and Governance Audits.

YOU MUST HAVE
- 8 or more years of experience in HSE management.
- In-depth knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations and best practices.
- Strong development, mentoring, and coaching skills.
- Setting strategies for improving HSE culture and risk reduction.
WE VALUE
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Environmental Science, Safety, or related field
- Certification in HSE or a related field is a plus.
- 8 or more years progressive experience in HSE leadership roles within industrial, manufacturing, or regulated environments.
- Ability to inspire and motivate a team.
- Proven ability to influence senior leaders and drive results through others.
- Strong working knowledge of management systems, audits, and governance frameworks.
- Experience with regulatory compliance (OSHA, EPA and State agencies)
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
