Accountabilities:

    • Design, build, and implement scalable security solutions integrated into complex product and infrastructure ecosystems.
    • Partner closely with engineering and product teams to embed security capabilities into development lifecycles.
    • Conduct security design reviews, threat modeling exercises, and assessments for new features, systems, and infrastructure changes.
    • Use data, metrics, and risk insights to drive security improvements and influence engineering priorities.
    • Provide technical leadership to reduce security risks across products, platforms, and services at scale.
    • Mentor engineers and promote security best practices through training, collaboration, and hands-on guidance.
    • Contribute to secure CI/CD pipelines and modern development practices, including AI-assisted engineering workflows.
    • Requirements:

      • 8+ years of experience in security engineering with a proven track record of building scalable security solutions.
      • Strong expertise in application security, cloud security, or product security domains.
      • Experience leading threat modeling and security architecture/design reviews.
      • Solid software engineering background with proficiency in Python; additional experience with Go or Java is a plus.
      • Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and modern software delivery practices.
      • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS), containerization, and Infrastructure-as-Code tools.
      • Experience applying LLMs or AI tooling in security or engineering workflows.
      • Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate complex security concepts for technical and non-technical audiences.
      • Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive security outcomes beyond the security organization.
      • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent industry experience.
      • Strong analytical thinking, adaptability, and comfort working in ambiguous environments.

        • Competitive compensation package with an estimated base salary range of CAD 160,320 – CAD 200,400.
