The Assistant Project Manager (APM) supports GMP facility operations, janitorial services, regulatory compliance, quality systems, and client service delivery within highly regulated manufacturing, laboratory, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and distribution environments. The APM serves as a key operational partner to the Project Manager and assists in leading site operations, supporting personnel, maintaining GMP/GDP compliance, and ensuring exceptional client satisfaction. The APM reports to the Project Manager and partners closely with site leadership, GMP staff, quality teams, and client representatives.

Shift: Standard GMP staffing schedules may include 6:00 AM–3:00 PM; flexibility expected to adjust schedules, work additional hours when necessary, and provide operational support to ensure client delivery, compliance, staffing coverage, and business continuity.

Compensation: $60,000 - $65,000 annual salary (US Dollars) The pay listed is the salary range for this position. Any specific offer will vary based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data. You may be eligible to participate in a Company incentive or bonus program.   • Partner with and support Project Manager responsibilities and operational objectives.
  • Enforce cGMP, GDP, ABM, client, and regulatory standards.
  • Support daily janitorial, maintenance, and facility operations.
  • Ensure cleanrooms, laboratories, warehouses, and production areas meet sanitation and compliance requirements.
  • Serve as a primary client liaison and promptly address service concerns.
  • Conduct inspections, audits, observations, and time studies.
  • Support CAPA, deviation investigations, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Direct, coach, and mentor frontline GMP personnel.
  • Track GMP team learning, training assignments, qualifications, and compliance requirements.
  • Assist with onboarding, scheduling, staffing, performance documentation, and workforce planning.
  • Monitor inventory, equipment readiness, chemical management, and PPE compliance.
  • Prepare operational reports, budget tracking, productivity metrics, and cost analyses.
  • Experience: 4–5 years of facility, operations, project management, or GMP-related experience with 1–2 years of supervisory experience preferred.
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Life Sciences, Facilities Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with GMP/GDP environments, OSHA regulations, custodial systems, quality systems, documentation practices, and facility compliance standards.
  • Skills: Strong leadership, communication, organization, customer service, analytical thinking, and business acumen.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

  • Environment: Pharmaceutical, biotechnology, laboratory, manufacturing, cleanroom, and distribution facilities.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to walk, stand, climb stairs, and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Flexibility: Ability to support critical projects, business needs, audits, shutdowns, and client requirements that may occasionally require evening or weekend support.
