We are seeking a Sr. Director level Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) professional to join the Honeywell Industrial Automation (IA) team. This individual will be a member of the IA HSE Leadership Team, responsible for driving HSE continuous improvement, compliance and engagement. The role reports to the Vice President HSE and has multiple direct reports.
As Sr. HSE Director, the successful candidate must be results driven and able to develop strong relationships with the IA business leaders and our manufacturing locations. The candidate must be compliance focused and provide hands-on support to sites with the ability to deploy continuous improvement through a strong MOS to drive goals and objectives and improve culture and behaviors.
We are looking for a strong people and process leader, capable of managing HSE professionals across multiple IA Business Enterprises. The individual must be a well-rounded leader that can manage health, safety and environmental programs in a manufacturing environment and able to coach/mentor a team of HSE professionals across various countries.
Key Responsibilities:
• Developing and executing a compliance strategy; both Honeywell HSE Management System, and regulatory requirements at all business locations.
• Heavy focus injury reduction through culture and behaviors initiatives.
• Improving environmental and sustainability performance (permits, waste management, wastewater compliance, energy and GHG reduction).
• Leading the execution of the IA HSE vision and mission through deployment of the HSE Management System.
• Partner with the IA leadership to achieve the stated goals and objectives.
• Ability to reduce the risk profile of sites in IA by identifying gaps through self-assessments and audits, gembas, and agency and 3rd party inspections.
• Strong ability to use HOS/Lean Practices and Principles to develop, deploy and continuously improve HSE results and improve efficiencies.
• Support locations with adequate reviews/visits/inspections to drive continuous improvement in HSE.
• Work in concert with Corporate HSEPS to assure consistent and effective auditing of regulatory requirements and Honeywell Level 1 and Level 2 Standards.

You have:
• At least 15 years of progressive health and safety experience, with increased responsibility.
• Extensive leadership experience.
• Extensive knowledge and experience in a manufacturing environment.

• Bachelor’s degree in safety, engineering or related technical field.
• Knowledge and management experience with global aspects of HSE and Sustainability

• Strong collaboration, program management and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work autonomously to achieve organizational objectives
• Mature judgment and decision-making ability with strategic and tactical HSE experience
