Accountabilities:
- Oversee fixed income trade settlement activities, including exception management, trade inquiries, allocations, fail resolution, and position transfers.
- Manage corporate action workflows by researching events, evaluating impacts, and coordinating decisions with relevant stakeholders.
- Maintain internal operational tracking tools and reporting workflows to support communication across trading, research, and engineering teams.
- Reconcile internal records with external counterparties and service providers, investigating and resolving discrepancies efficiently.
- Partner with accounting teams to ensure accurate transaction recording, cash reconciliation, and month-end review processes.
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency through automation, process optimization, and workflow enhancements.
- Support strategic operational initiatives, including new account setups, broker onboarding, and organizational projects.
- Participate in cross-training, workflow reviews, and coverage planning to strengthen team scalability and resilience.
- Collaborate with external providers to improve processes, maintain compliance standards, and enhance operational controls.
- Contribute to the creation and refinement of operational policies, procedures, and best practices.
- 5–10 years of experience in finance, preferably within operations, middle office, hedge funds, broker-dealers, or fund administration.
- Experience supporting fixed income operations, trade lifecycle processes, reconciliations, or related investment workflows.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the ability to manage and analyze complex financial data.
- Ability to work effectively between 7am and 5pm PST.
- Experience using enterprise-level accounting or operational systems, with the ability to learn new platforms quickly.
- Familiarity with process automation, including the use of AI tools, large language models, or AI-assisted coding solutions, is preferred.
- Experience with hedge funds, broker-dealers, fund administrators, and month-end accounting processes is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Accounting, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate issues and implement practical solutions.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across finance, technology, and investment teams.
