Accountabilities:
- Define and maintain enterprise data architecture principles, standards, policies, and target-state architectures aligned with business and technology strategies
- Design and govern current, transition, and target-state data architectures across multiple business domains
- Establish and lead enterprise data governance functions, architecture review boards, and governance forums, including Terms of Reference (ToRs)
- Review, assess, and approve data architecture artefacts to ensure compliance with enterprise standards and policies
- Develop and maintain enterprise data models aligned with industry frameworks such as FSLDM, BIRD, or equivalent standards
- Design scalable enterprise data flows, integration architectures, and transformation roadmaps
- Provide architectural leadership for strategic data initiatives, platforms, and data product development
- Collaborate with enterprise architects, solution architects, engineering teams, and business stakeholders to define scalable solutions
- Evaluate and recommend data architecture tools, methodologies, and platforms to support enterprise transformation
- Promote modern data architecture paradigms including Data Lake, Data Mesh, Data Fabric, hybrid architectures, and AI-enabled ecosystems
- Drive continuous improvement of data governance, architecture practices, and operating models
- Stay current with emerging technologies, industry trends, and regulatory requirements impacting data architecture
- 9+ years of overall experience in data engineering, data architecture, or enterprise architecture roles
- Proven experience designing enterprise data architecture strategies, standards, policies, and target-state architectures
- Strong background in establishing enterprise data governance frameworks and architecture review processes
- Experience designing enterprise-wide data flows, integration architectures, and transformation roadmaps
- Hands-on expertise in enterprise data modelling using industry-standard methodologies and tools
- Strong understanding of data architecture paradigms including Data Lake, Data Mesh, Data Fabric, and hybrid architectures
- Experience with cloud data platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, or equivalent solutions
- Familiarity with enterprise data governance and metadata management tools such as Collibra
- Exposure to enterprise architecture tools such as LeanIX, Ardoq, or similar platforms
- Experience working in banking, financial services, or other highly regulated environments
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills at senior levels
- Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities in complex enterprise settings
- Ability to evaluate and drive adoption of data architecture technologies and frameworks
