The Opportunity:
Join our team as a Systems Security Engineer supporting cybersecurity and systems security analysis for U.S. Navy afloat and undersea platforms. You will help design, assess, and implement cybersecurity solutions across the system lifecycle including supporting integration, testing, operations, and sustainment activities. In this role, you’ll apply modern systems security engineering practices, analyze vulnerabilities, and recommend mission focused solutions that strengthen the resilience of critical naval systems.
What You’ll Work On:
Analyze and develop system security solutions throughout the lifecycle, including integration, testing, operations, and maintenance.
Evaluate system vulnerabilities, perform security assessments, and support risk mitigation planning aligned with DoD and Navy requirements.
Apply knowledge of cybersecurity engineering principles, network security, protocols such as TCP, IP, DHCP, DNS, and network design processes.
Support systems security testing and evaluation, reviewing design artifacts, and identifying security gaps.
Provide cybersecurity recommendations based on threats, vulnerabilities, and emerging risks.
Collaborate with engineers, analysts, and stakeholders to achieve secure system configurations and resilient architectures.
Contribute to documentation, briefs, and technical reports supporting system accreditation and cyber readiness.

You Have:
5+ years of experience in systems security engineering, cybersecurity, software engineering, or network security
3+ years of experience in Navy acquisition or In-service programs
Knowledge of information security systems engineering principles, cybersecurity fundamentals, and DoD mission needs
Knowledge of networking concepts such as LAN, WAN, bandwidth management, network protocols, and directory services
Ability to assess security system designs and support systems engineering processes
Secret clearance
Bachelor’s degree in a computer science, engineering, or technical field
DoD IAT Level II Certification
Nice If You Have:
Experience with Navy afloat systems
Experience with RMF policies and procedures for Navy systems
Experience with Zero Trust implementation in DoD systems and software
Knowledge of Navy afloat cybersecurity challenges
Master’s degree in a technical field
DoD IAT Level III Certification
Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $69,300.00 to $158,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
