Details of Research Project:

This project aims to advance conventional RNA-based vaccine platforms to optimize delivery and ensure broader and longer-lasting protection against viral pathogens. Using a Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza A strain as a prototype, microRNA constructs will be developed to achieve cell-specific antigen expression. Targeted antigen delivery will be coupled with induction of selected immunogenic cell death pathways and alternate immunization regimens to bolster antigen presentation and effective induction of adaptive immunity.
