What you'll do...

We’re looking for leaders who will lead transformation on the forefront. This isn't just a supervisory role; it's a critical leadership position where you'll have the power to shape culture, drive performance, and directly impact the quality and efficiency of our operations.

Position Duties:

Drive SQCDPME by understanding and consistently applying standard manufacturing operating system processes. Validate and bridge operational needs to ensure the line is running safely, smoothly, and producing quality parts.

Safety: Ensure department compliance with government, industry, corporate standards and OHSIM investigations. Serve as maintenance liaison for launch-related Pro-Tag and Arc Flash updates, Construction Service Safety audits/compliance checks, inter-department Pre-Task Analyses, and any regulatory or insurance audits.

Quality: Direct data-driven maintenance processes to improve quality metrics (e.g., higher FTT, less scrap, less contamination, etc.)

Delivery: Coordinate the resources and activities required to ensure problem free start-ups. Facilitate start-up/shift-to-shift meetings. Facilitate constraint analysis and coordinate activities to eliminate bottlenecks; use Factory Information System (Bottleneck and Top X fault report).

Cost: Promote and ensure continuous improvement in the paint organization toward the common goal of improving product quality, plant competitiveness (RTO adherence) and total cost structure. Monitor, control, and improve Maintenance Cost Per Unit (MCPU)

Optimize throughput in accordance with budgets and cost objectives: meet or beat schedule. Manage and support material control (spare part inventory/ 1295 process), repair and rebuild programs, and reliability and maintainability reviews.

People: Communication and Recognition

Participate in Time & Data Management meetings for scheduling, staffing, procurement, equipment maintenance, inventory control, constraint analysis, coordination of production activities with codependent departments, department planning project, and weekend activities. Create a conducive work environment for the team(s) to complete their assigned responsibilities / tasks; build and nurture a One Team environment. Basic Administration of supervisory responsibilities and documents, provide 404, constraint package and collaborate with the team to complete.

Maintenance: Lead all daily, weekend and shutdown maintenance planning with input from your team(s)

Integrate and update the Maintenance Control Center board into total department business plan. Maximize equipment effectiveness through a detailed, standardized, and prioritized preventive and predictive maintenance plan designed to improve productivity; use Maximo (MFM) system as a tool. Provide resources, support, and priorities for all maintenance actions; Use Maximo (MFM) to document all maintenance activities (planned, corrective and emergency) and create reports to support continuous improvement. Use Maximo to analyze data and evaluate the effectiveness of the preventive maintenance plan (top 10 stratification of loss). Jointly coordinate maintenance and engineering activities

Collaboration: Actively listen to and value the perspectives of all team members and other department stakeholders. You will be a partner with team members, the union, and management to continuously improve everything.

Conflict Resolution & Interpersonal Relationships: Proactively address and mediate conflicts fairly and effectively, facilitating mutually acceptable solutions. This requires active listening, empathy, and the ability to de-escalate tense situations. You will build and maintain strong, positive working relationships with your team and all partners, including suppliers and union representatives, through transparent communication and a willingness to listen, fostering a psychologically safe environment

You'll have...

  • Bachelor’s degree orequivalent7+ years of supervisory, manufacturing, military, or other relevant experience. 
  • Ability to work rotating shifts and hours, including nights and weekends 
  • Fundamental working knowledge of PLC logic and controls

This position is a salary grade 8 and ranges from $99,100-$166,200.    

Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidate's skills and experience, and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope, responsibility and competitive market value.
