About the Role
Join us in the Amazon Reliability Maintenance Engineering team. We maintain and optimize technologies in the Global Amazon Warehouse and Delivery Network.
We are looking for motivated, customer-focused people who want to join our team as a Senior Reliability Maintenance Engineering Technician. The focus of this role is to ensure safety regulations and policies are adhered to, to ensure preventative maintenance is conducted on time to a high standard, and to provide high levels of equipment availability through continuous improvement.
Key job responsibilities
The Reliability Maintenance Engineering coordinator will role model health and safety best practices and monitor those around them to ensure they follow the example they set.
- You will work in a hands-on manner and demonstrate Subject Matter Expert levels of knowledge on all Material Handling Equipment in the building.
- You will coach and mentor the technicians on shift while supporting the line manager and supervising the shift in their absence.
- You will provide high levels of equipment availability to our internal customers by means of troubleshooting and prioritizing issues effectively.
- You will support continuous improvement of systems in a standard manner across the network and develop and maintain good working relationships across all levels in the organization.
- You will demonstrate a strong understanding of Overall Equipment Effectiveness and equipment performance metrics.
- You will also be responsible for the management of contractors working within the facility.
- Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
- Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering, engineering technology or equivalent, or 1+ years of industrial controls and automation experience
- Experience in project management including resource planning, managing schedules, reporting project status and prioritizing own tasks and those of other team members for multiple projects
- Experience with PLC (Programmable Logic Controller)-controlled automation and issue diagnosis in a continuous process or production environment, or experience working with electrical and mechanical conveyance systems

Basic qualifications
- 1+ years of working with computers and Microsoft Office products and applications experience- Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering, engineering technology or equivalent, or 1+ years of industrial controls and automation experience
- Experience in project management including resource planning, managing schedules, reporting project status and prioritizing own tasks and those of other team members for multiple projects
Preferred qualifications
- Experience in material handling systems (MHS) installation, operation and maintenance- Experience with PLC (Programmable Logic Controller)-controlled automation and issue diagnosis in a continuous process or production environment, or experience working with electrical and mechanical conveyance systems
