Accountabilities:

    The Appeal Staff Attorney is responsible for reviewing immigration filings, addressing USCIS requests, and ensuring legal strategies and supporting documentation meet required standards. The role requires close collaboration with attorneys, paralegals, and operational teams to deliver accurate and timely case preparation.

    • Review immigration applications, Requests for Evidence (RFEs), and other USCIS post-submission requests to ensure compliance with legal requirements.
    • Evaluate legal strategies prepared by paralegals and provide guidance or revisions before submission.
    • Review cover letters, supporting evidence, and final case packets for accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
    • Identify necessary edits, communicate feedback clearly to team members, and track updates through completion.
    • Conduct legal research on immigration law topics to support case strategies and strengthen filings.
    • Manage daily case review objectives while maintaining high standards of quality and attention to detail.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to improve workflows, documentation practices, and overall case outcomes.
    • Requirements:

      The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented attorney with strong legal writing skills and an interest in immigration law. They should be comfortable working in a structured, collaborative environment where accuracy and client impact are key priorities.

      • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-approved law school.
      • Active membership in good standing with a U.S. state bar.
      • Strong ability to follow detailed instructions and apply legal requirements consistently.
      • Interest in immigration law and commitment to supporting individuals and families seeking legal status and stability.
      • Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and document review skills.
      • Experience with case management software is preferred.
      • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and document management platforms.
      • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain attention to detail in a high-volume environment.
      • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with legal and operational teams.
