Job Description
The Instructional Designer will join Rockwell Automation University (RAU) - Rockwell Automation's global learning organization responsible for developing and delivering technical training and digital learning solutions for employees, partners, and customers worldwide.
RAU focuses on creating modern, high-quality learning experiences that support product knowledge, technical skills, and digital transformation projects. You will contribute to the design of training solutions that directly impact performance and customer success.
You will report to the Manager RAU Digital Learning and Marketing and have a hybrid schedule working in Katowice, Poland.
Your Responsibilities:
- Design online learning modules and activities using established instructional design approaches.
- Contribute to the end-to-end content development process, helping transform technical content into engaging and learning experiences.
- Partner with Subject Matter Experts to define learning goals, structure content, and create storyboards or mock-ups.
- Collaborate with e-learning developers to produce engaging and high-quality learning materials.
- Analyze learning needs and recommend instructional strategies, learning formats, and engagement approaches that support business and learner goals.
- Support the development and updates of curricula aligned with needs.
- Bring creativity to a variety of projects, tailoring learning solutions to different audiences and topics.
The Essentials - You Will Have:
- 1+ years of experience developing learning content using instructional design methodologies.
- Hands-on experience applying instructional design principles.
- Experience partnering with SMEs to analyze learning needs and translate technical knowledge into learning solutions.
- Experience creating storyboards, learning designs, or content outlines for digital learning projects.
- Experience working with e-learning authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline or similar platforms.
- Experience contributing throughout the content development lifecycle, from analysis and design to implementation.
The Preferred - You Might Also Have:
- Experience creating technical or industrial training content.
- Experience working in a global or matrix organization.
- Familiarity with learning technologies, digital learning solutions, or learning trends.
- Creativity in designing learning solutions for different audiences, topics, and delivery formats.
