Accountabilities:

    The National Sales Manager will lead business development activities focused on expanding the customer base, creating new opportunities, and strengthening strategic relationships within the energy sector. This role requires ownership of sales strategies, opportunity development, and customer engagement from early prospecting through successful execution.

    • Develop and execute strategic business plans to identify, qualify, and capture new customer opportunities within the IPP market.
    • Build and maintain a strong pipeline through market analysis, networking, prospect engagement, and proactive business development activities.
    • Apply structured sales processes to evaluate leads, convert prospects into opportunities, and achieve revenue targets.
    • Maintain accurate CRM records, including customer interactions, opportunity status, forecasts, and sales progress.
    • Develop account strategies and ensure appropriate customer engagement plans are in place for high-value opportunities.
    • Establish relationships with customer executives, decision-makers, and key stakeholders to strengthen partnerships.
    • Coordinate with technical teams, marketing, proposals, operations, and other internal groups to deliver compelling customer solutions.
    • Lead responses to RFPs, RFIs, and budgetary requests by coordinating internal resources and aligning solutions with customer needs.
    • Analyze competitor positioning, market trends, and customer requirements to develop effective sales strategies.
    • Support solution demonstrations and ensure customer expectations are clearly documented and addressed.
    • Travel regularly to customer locations to strengthen relationships and support opportunity development.
    • Requirements:

      The ideal candidate brings strong experience in complex B2B sales environments, with a proven ability to expand customer portfolios, manage strategic opportunities, and influence stakeholders across organizations. A combination of technical understanding, commercial expertise, and relationship-building skills is essential.

      • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Management, or a related discipline.
      • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience with demonstrated success in new customer acquisition and business development.
      • Strong knowledge of Independent Power Producers (IPPs), energy markets, and related technology landscapes.
      • Proven track record of identifying, developing, and closing new customer opportunities.
      • Experience selling complex software, technology solutions, or infrastructure offerings.
      • Strong strategic planning skills with the ability to define short-, mid-, and long-term growth objectives.
      • Demonstrated ability to compete effectively in competitive markets and communicate customer value.
      • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills with confidence engaging executive-level stakeholders.
      • Experience managing cross-functional teams and influencing internal and external partners.
      • Ability to analyze market needs, customer challenges, and business opportunities to create effective solutions.
      • Willingness and ability to travel approximately 30–40% of the time.
