Job Description
As a Portfolio Expert, Software and Control, you will amplify Rockwell Automation's Software & Control portfolio in the market and serve as a primary technical advocate to drive specification wins and accelerate adoption across strategic accounts. You will partner closely with Distributor Specialists, Account Managers, Solution Architects, System Integrators, and OEMs to position competitive solutions, support New Product Introductions (NPI), and enable our ecosystem. Leveraging technologies such as Logix controllers, PlantPAx, Stratix networking, FactoryTalk Optix, FactoryTalk View, Studio 5000, and FT DataSuite, you will help customers advance their Smart Manufacturing and Connected Enterprise initiatives. You will work within the Software & Control business and have a hybrid schedule based in Santiago, Chile, with travel to customer sites, distributors, and industry events within the region.
Your Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary technical advocate for the Software & Control portfolio to drive specification wins and support competitive displacement strategies.
- Provide technical guidance and portfolio expertise to Distributor Specialists, Account Managers, and Solution Architects throughout the sales cycle.
- Execute New Product Introduction (NPI) activities, including launch readiness, enablement, and customer adoption initiatives.
- Develop Proof of Concepts (PoCs) that demonstrate customer value and accelerate portfolio adoption.
- Support and enable distributors, system integrators, and OEMs to independently position, design, and deliver solutions based on Rockwell Automation technologies.
- Collaborate with Global Product Managers and Global Portfolio Engineering teams to share market insights and support portfolio growth initiatives.
- Participate in customer events, marketing programs, and strategic business opportunities that increase awareness and demand for the Software & Control portfolio.
The Essentials - You Will Have:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Controls Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in industrial automation and/or industrial software with hands-on knowledge of Software & Control technologies.
- Demonstrated experience winning specifications and technically displacing competitors in industrial environments.
- Experience enabling distributors and partners while collaborating with Account Managers, Solution Architects, System Integrators, and OEMs.
- Strong experience executing Proof of Concepts (PoCs) and supporting New Product Introductions (NPI).
- Legal authorization to work in Chile.
- Advanced Spanish and business-proficient English.
- Ability to travel within Chile and the South Cone region as required.
The Preferred - You Might Also Have:
- Experience with Logix, PlantPAx, Stratix, FactoryTalk visualization platforms, Studio 5000, and related Software & Control technologies.
- Knowledge of ISA-88 process control concepts and PlantPAx architectures.
- Experience with FactoryTalk Optix, ThinManager, data and analytics solutions, and modern industrial visualization technologies.
- Exposure to Global Portfolio Engineering (GPE) and domain enablement methodologies.
- Familiarity with DataOps and DevOps practices in industrial automation environments.
- Experience supporting IT/OT convergence initiatives, including industrial cybersecurity, network segmentation, and secure data integration.
