As a Supplier Development Lead, you will play a pivotal role in strengthening our global supply chain by leading supplier development initiatives, enhancing manufacturing capabilities, and driving operational excellence. Working closely with suppliers and cross-functional teams, you will help build a resilient, high-performing, and competitive supplier network that supports the delivery of world-class aerospace products.

What will you do?

  • Lead supplier containment, recovery, and performance improvement activities to resolve quality and delivery challenges.
  • Drive Root Cause & Corrective Action investigations, ensuring robust and sustainable corrective actions are implemented.
  • Partner with suppliers and cross-functional teams to develop, execute, and monitor improvement plans and key performance indicators.
  • Conduct supplier capability and risk assessments, identifying development opportunities and mitigation strategies.
  • Support supplier capability growth through coaching, maturity assessments, continuous improvement initiatives, and best practice implementation.
  • Lead or support supplier transitions and industrial transfers, ensuring operational readiness and business continuity.
  • Execute Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) activities for new product introductions and supplier transitions.
  • Develop, standardize, and improve manufacturing process documentation and quality tools, including PFMEA and Control Plans.

Qualifications we prefer

  • University degree with 7+ years of relevant professional experience
  • Strong knowledge of casting and forging manufacturing processes.
  • Experience in Supplier Quality, Supplier Development, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Proven expertise in RCCA, APQP, PFMEA, and Control Plans.
  • Strong project management, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Willingness to travel to supplier sites (approximately 50% of the time).

Nice to have

  • Experience in the aerospace or defense industry.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, or Operational Excellence methodologies.
  • Experience leading supplier recovery, industrialization, or work transfer projects.
  • Experience working within a global matrix organization.
  • Six Sigma certification or equivalent quality qualification.
