In addition to an online store, Rexel USA has a distribution network of over 460 warehouse storefront locations throughout the U.S.Job DescriptionWe are looking for a Senior Industrial Automation Specialist – Industrial Controls to join our REXEL team located in Tampa, FL!Rexel Automation delivers automation and control solutions across Florida, partnering with leading OEMs and Users to design, specify, and support practical industrial systems for a wide range of markets. We are growing our Rockwell-focused offering and looking for a technically strong specialist to help expand our footprint in the region.As a Rockwell Industrial Control Specialist, you should know a mix of product knowledge, application know-how, and customer-facing skills. You will serve as a key technical resource for integrators and end users, working closely with our Sales Team, Rockwell and other partners to design, demonstrate, and support panel and control solutions. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role where you’ll help drive growth, develop customer relationships, and support all the products in your portfolio.
What You'll Do:Support Rockwell industrial control and automation solutions, including new product launches and technologies.Help specify, demo, and implement Rockwell products and systems.Work with customers and internal teams to recommend the right automation solutions.Conduct customer site visits, demonstrations, and proof-of-concepts.Prepare proposals, documentation, and training materials.Represent Rexel at customer visits, trade shows, and Tech Tour events.Build customer relationships and help grow business across the territory.Meet or exceed sales goals of assigned technology offerDevelop sales strategies, promotions, programs, and plans for sales growthDevelop annual performance goals, objectives, and sales action plansPrepare periodic sales funnel, weekly sales reports, etc.Provide technical support for internal and external customers via on-site visit, phone, and email. This could include, but is not limited to troubleshooting products, finding technical documentation and specifications, product selection and, other requested activitiesEstablish relationships with sales and customers to better understand sales potentialAscertain customer needs by customer visits, phone, and other means of research (internet, etc.)Work with sales to establish joint strategies and activitiesProvide expert knowledge to Inside Sales to facilitate quoting, order entry, and order expeditingCreate and present technical and commercial training for internal and external customersDescribe or demonstrate product to customersFollow up on all business leads assigned by management, marketing, technical department, or supplier partnersAcquire, use, and continuously develop personal technical knowledgeProvide oral and/or written quotations, proposals or estimates of prices, scope of work, terms, and deliveryWork with prospective customers to move projects through the sales cycle to conclusionProperly prepare for sales calls, customers events, etc.Work with Purchasing on proper inventory of high-tech products and identify any potential obsolesce problemsActively participate in appropriate industry groupsMentor, train, and coach other Automation specialists.
