About the Role

As an Account Manager in CSS you will be responsible for selling services that help customers realise and maximise the value of their Oracle investments. You will own a defined set of solution opportunities, working with Oracle account teams to identify, shape, position and close services engagements.

 

You will connect customer priorities to Oracle CSS advisory, modernisation services, cloud success, operational excellence, AI adoption and continuous innovation capabilities. You will demonstrate the credibility of Oracle's solutions at all levels with particular focus on C-suite executives and other key decision makers.

 

You will work closely with business leaders, IT executives, architects, partners, License Sales, Cloud, Support and Oracle specialists to develop strategic opportunities that deliver lasting customer success.

What You'll Do

  • Own sales from opportunity qualification through proposal, negotiation and close.

  • Understand customers' business priorities, operating models, industry challenges and strategic objectives, using AI-enabled insights and analysis to deepen discovery, identify patterns and align them to the most relevant Oracle CSS services.

  • Develop compelling value propositions, solution narratives and executive business cases, using AI to accelerate research, tailor customer-specific insights and strengthen the articulation of business outcomes and measurable value.

  • Build trusted relationships with board-level stakeholders, C-suite executives, senior business leaders, IT executives and technical decision makers.

  • Generate leads, progress qualified opportunities and submit customer proposals.

  • Provide credible solution presentations that position Oracle CSS capabilities aligned to customer needs.

  • Shape technical and cross-solution approaches in partnership with architects and specialists, ensuring customer needs are addressed with the right Oracle capabilities.

  • Drive the gathering and reuse of Oracle intellectual property, case studies, implementation examples and best practices to strengthen customer proposals.

  • Create and execute strategic account plans aligned with customer priorities, Oracle CSS growth strategies and initiatives, using AI to identify whitespace and expansion potential to uncover high-value growth opportunities.

  • Maintain a strong pipeline, manage complex opportunities and consistently contribute to sales targets.

  • Stay informed on market trends, including AI, cloud, cybersecurity, data, applications, digital transformation and future Oracle solution development.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who combines commercial thinking, advanced business and technical acumen, curiosity and a genuine passion for helping customers succeed.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 6+ years of relevant field sales experience, ideally in enterprise technology, consulting services, managed services, customer success, cloud services or enterprise software.

  • Proven success selling services-led solutions, including generating leads, developing proposals, nurturing opportunities and closing transactions.

  • Strong understanding of Oracle or comparable enterprise technology environments, including cloud, AI, enterprise applications, infrastructure, data and digital transformation.

  • Ability to connect customer needs and challenges to a set of Oracle CSS solutions, including cross-solution or technically complex services engagements.

  • Confidence engaging with CIOs, CTOs, CFOs, board members and senior business executives.

  • Strong consultative selling, discovery, storytelling, presentation and executive communication skills.

  • Experience developing and executing strategic account plans for major accounts, including competitive positioning, implementation references and future roadmap considerations.

  • Ability to develop strong internal relationships and collaborate effectively across Sales, Cloud, Support, Delivery and development teams and partner organisations.

  • Commercial negotiation, proposal development, opportunity management and pipeline discipline.

  • Ability to act as a leading individual contributor and team member, providing direction, coaching or mentoring to others where appropriate.

  • High levels of ownership, curiosity, resilience, self-motivation and comfort working on non-routine, complex opportunities.

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
