Accountabilities:
- Lead the creation and execution of comprehensive test strategies, plans, and quality processes across software projects.
- Develop and maintain automated testing frameworks using tools such as Cypress, TypeScript, JMeter, and Postman.
- Perform end-to-end, API, and performance/load testing to validate product quality and scalability.
- Review code and provide recommendations to improve testability, maintainability, and overall software quality.
- Analyze test results, identify risks, and recommend improvements to engineering and product teams.
- Collaborate with developers, designers, and other stakeholders to integrate quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Mentor and guide junior and mid-level QA engineers by sharing best practices and technical knowledge.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and promote effective QA methodologies across teams.
- Act as a subject matter expert on software testing, automation, and quality engineering practices.
- Strong experience as a QA Engineer with expertise in designing and executing complex test strategies.
- Advanced knowledge of Cypress, TypeScript, JMeter, Jest, Postman, SQL/databases, and Jira.
- Proven experience building and maintaining automated test frameworks.
- Strong understanding of API testing, end-to-end testing, and performance/load testing methodologies.
- Familiarity with version control systems such as Git and modern development workflows.
- Experience working with AWS CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Ability to mentor other engineers and provide constructive technical guidance.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Fixed-term salaried contract opportunity for 3 months.
- Remote flexibility with the role based in Ontario, Canada, preferably Toronto.
