This is a hands-on architecture role where your decisions directly shape cloud performance, security, and scalability.
Accountabilities:
- Architect, build, and operate OCI landing zones, tenancy structures, and governance frameworks aligned with enterprise standards.
- Design and implement OCI networking solutions including VCNs, subnets, DRGs, FastConnect, VPNs, and hub-and-spoke architectures.
- Develop infrastructure-as-code using Terraform and OCI Resource Manager with version control and automated validation.
- Implement IAM models, identity federation, and RBAC policies using OCI Identity Domains.
- Design and manage OCI compute, storage, Kubernetes (OKE), and database services for diverse workloads.
- Support Oracle database platforms such as Autonomous Database, Exadata Cloud, and Base Database in collaboration with DBAs.
- Build CI/CD pipelines using OCI DevOps or external tools such as Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
- Implement observability and monitoring using OCI tools and third-party logging and APM solutions.
- Drive cost optimization initiatives through resource right-sizing, architecture refinement, and usage analysis.
- Design disaster recovery and business continuity strategies across regions and availability domains.
- Strengthen cloud security posture using OCI Cloud Guard, Vault, Security Zones, and Data Safe.
- Develop automation scripts and tooling using Python, Bash, and Terraform to improve operational efficiency.
- Provide architectural guidance and mentorship to engineering teams on OCI best practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of cloud engineering or architecture experience, with strong hands-on expertise in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
- Proven experience designing and operating infrastructure-as-code solutions using Terraform.
- Strong knowledge of OCI services including compute, networking, storage, IAM, and database offerings.
- Hands-on experience with Oracle Container Engine for Kubernetes (OKE).
- Experience building CI/CD pipelines for cloud-native workloads.
- Strong scripting skills in Python and Bash for automation and operational tooling.
- Deep understanding of cloud security, IAM, and compliance frameworks.
- Experience with observability tools, incident response, and production operations.
- Strong communication, documentation, and stakeholder collaboration skills.
- Experience with OCI Architect certifications, multi-cloud environments, or FinOps practices is a plus.
- Competitive salary range of $100,000 – $150,000 annually.
- 100% remote position within the United States.
