Design Engineer HVCB - MechanicalLocation : ChennaiRole:As a Design Engineer HV – Mechanical, you shall be able to do:The basic Mechanical design of HV circuit breaker analysing mechanical and structural integrity, tolerancing, dimensioning and manufacturability.Define the parts and its clearances for manufacturingAnalyse the mechanical dimensioning and tolerancing of parts to activate and support phenomenon of arc chamber and gaseous in dynamic condition.Ability to define the type test requirements for each component of DTCB as per IEEE / IECDefine Qualification requirements of the parts and assembly as per the design to meet the type test and routine test performance.Responsibilities:As a design Engineer HV – Mechanical, you shall:Define design parameters as per the IEEE / IEC Type tests of DTCB.Perform basis study / analysis for DTCB such as Mechanical and structural analysis, GD&T, ISO GPS, etc.,Understand and define the manufacturing tolerances and clearances of HVCB partsDefine the Type test program for DTCB to qualify for IEEE / IEC and customers specific requirementsAssess the process or issues during manufacturing and provide appropriate guidance to the teamReview the customer requirements and assess the suitability and adaptability to meet the requirements to the fullestDesirable Qualification:Master’s / bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering3-5 Years of experience in HV product design involving basic study / analysis.Proficiency in analysis software such as ANSYS, PROMECHANICA, SOLIDWORKS, etc.,Good knowledge on Type test regime for DTCB / HVCB as per IEEE / IECGood knowledge / exposure to manufacturing and qualification process of HV Products.Ability to work closely with cross-functional team to guide and support them on basic clarifications regarding product and tests.
